CrackStreams and MethStreams both went dark at the end of December 2024. The name is still in search results, mostly on sites that have nothing to do with the original.

CrackStreams was one of the two best-known sports piracy brands of the early 2020s, covering NBA and NCAA basketball alongside NFL, boxing and MMA.
Its reach came from simplicity. One page per sport, a list of that night's games, and an embedded feed per fixture, with none of the friction of a subscription service.
That reach is also why it drew sustained attention from rights holders and from the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment.
CrackStreams and its sister site MethStreams both went offline on 30 December 2024, per Front Office Sports. The shutdown came amid coordinated pressure from leagues, media companies and ACE.
The name did not disappear from search results. Unaffiliated operators now apply it to their own sites specifically to inherit the search traffic a recognized brand still carries, so a page labelled CrackStreams today is a different operator with different advertising.
The wider category has kept contracting. The largest sports piracy network was dismantled in September 2025 after a year-long investigation, per The New York Times, and the original operators of that network face trial in Egypt.
The sticker price is zero. The real cost shows up in four places, and every one of them is worse during a game you care about.
The legal routes below cost money. They also start when you press play and are still running at the final buzzer.
CrackStreams was strongest on the NBA and the NCAA. Both are well served legally, and the NBA route in particular has changed since the site went dark.
| League | Legal route |
|---|---|
| NBA | League Pass out of market, national rights holders in market, licensed operator streams by country. Full detail on our NBA streams page. |
| NCAA Division I | Conference networks in the regular season, national partners for the tournament. |
| WNBA | WNBA League Pass plus national broadcasters through the summer. |
| EuroLeague | EuroLeague TV plus your domestic rights holder. |
Rights change every season and vary by country. The how to watch guide carries the country-by-country map and is reviewed monthly.
On basketballstreams.com the fixtures, live scores, standings, head-to-head records and form data across 36 leagues are free and need no account. The live video sits with a licensed operator, either Bet365 or Stake depending on which one holds a licence where you are, and unlocking it takes a funded account rather than a subscription.
The original went dark on 30 December 2024 alongside MethStreams. Sites using the name since then are unrelated operators borrowing the brand for its search traffic.
Not in any meaningful sense. The label gets applied by unaffiliated operators to their own sites, which is worth knowing before trusting anything that carries it.
Legally, League Pass out of market and the national rights holders in market. Our NBA streams page lists the route country by country.
Because the name is the asset. A recognized brand carries years of accumulated search demand, and reusing it is cheaper than building a new audience.
Streaming with a licensed operator means opening a betting account. Deposit only what you can afford to lose and set a deposit limit before your first deposit. Responsible gaming controls and helplines.
