NBA streams: every legal way to watch in 2026-27

The 2026-27 season tips off on October 20, 2026. Three national partners carry the US slate, League Pass covers out-of-market games, and a licensed operator stream covers most of the rest of the world.

Where NBA games actually are this season

The 2026-27 season is the second year of the NBA's 11-year media agreements with Disney, NBCUniversal and Amazon. That settled a decade of uncertainty, and it means the answer to where a game is has become fairly predictable by day of week.

Across the three partners there are 246 nationally distributed regular-season games: 100 on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network, 80 on ABC and ESPN, and 66 on Prime Video, per NBA.com. The Finals are on ABC.

Some Friday, Saturday and Sunday windows begin midseason rather than in October. Season opens with a tripleheader on NBC and Peacock.

League Pass, and the blackout rule that catches everyone

League Pass is the league's own out-of-market product. It exists for fans watching teams from somewhere other than that team's local market, and it is the cleanest way to follow a specific team from abroad.

The catch is in the name. Local games and nationally televised games are blacked out live, per the NBA help center, so League Pass is not a substitute for the national partners if you live in the United States.

Pricing runs at $109.99 for a season on the standard tier and $159.99 on Premium, which drops commercials and adds devices, per NBA League Pass. Prices vary by market and discount heavily once the season is underway.

The practical read: League Pass is excellent value outside the United States and awkward inside it.

Outside the United States

International rights are sold country by country, so there is no single answer. In most markets the pattern is a domestic pay-TV or streaming rights holder for a selection of games, plus League Pass for everything else.

That is where a licensed operator stream is often the most practical route. Bet365 carries live basketball in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and Stake covers much of Latin America, Africa, Japan and South East Asia.

Unlocking one takes a funded account rather than a subscription, and you do not have to bet the balance to watch. The country-by-country guide lists which applies where you are.

What about the free stream sites

They are less available than they were, and the ones that survive are mostly not the sites people remember. CrackStreams and MethStreams both went dark on 30 December 2024, per Front Office Sports, and the largest network in the category was dismantled in September 2025, per The New York Times.

What carries those names now are unaffiliated operators trading on the residual search demand. We cover what happened to each of them on the alternatives index, and we do not link to any of them.
