About the Lega A

Italy's Lega Basket Serie A runs sixteen clubs through a 30-game regular season from late September into June, with the top eight crossing over into a playoff that decides the Scudetto.

Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna are the modern duopoly; Trento, Brescia, Trapani, Tortona and Reggio Emilia have all pushed into the title race over the past three seasons.
